Join us for the McKernan Community League Annual General Meeting
Thursday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m at the community centre (11341-78 Ave) (with social distancing).
On the agenda:
Election of officers (secretary, treasurer, directors-at-large)
Year-end business (annual financials, president’s report, membership fees)
Meet the executive, find out how you can help, discuss your concerns.
The positions of secretary, treasurer and two of the director-at-large positions are open for election for two-year terms; the treasurer position does not have an incumbent to fill it. The Board would particularly like to have representation from a younger community member (university student or young adult). If you are keen on helping to make connections in the community, we’d love to hear from you.
About the positions:
Treasurer: Works with bookkeeper to track fees and income paid to the league; presents a detailed account of revenues and expenditures at every Board and General Meeting; presents an audited financial statement at the Annual General Meeting.
Secretary: Keeps minutes of the league, the Board and the Executive Committee, sends notices of meetings, and manages the Board correspondence.
Director-at-large: Attends meetings of the league and the Board, and carries out League business as required.
